Lovers of quality TV series could enjoy HBO’s epic adventure of “Game of Thrones” this year…Only the first season of this series that was made by the fantasy novel of George RR Martin, cost an estimated 50 to 60 million dollars. It is clear that HBO’s production does not save when it comes to quality with famous actors like Sean Bean and Lena Headey.

The first season delighted viewers, and Croatian fans were especially excited because there were rumors that a part of the second season will be filmed in Dubrovnik!

This information is confirmed, so now we can safely announce that the second season will be partly filmed in Dubrovnik. And that is not surprising because medieval city walls form a perfect backdrop for this spectacular story!

It is still not clear when the filming will begin, but we found out that American productions has already hired some local Croatian team that should take care of the preparations for filming. Everything should be ready in late autmn or winter, this year.

Except in Dubrovnik, filming should also be held in Split, but that information is still not confirmed.
